Tipton & Coseley Building Society helps stock up local food bank
Tipton & Coseley Building Society has helped Black Country Food bank stock up its shelves for the second year running with a bumper haul of donations. 140kg of food and 26kg of non-food items were donated by customers and staff from across the Building Society’s four branches and head office, beating last year’s totals of 125kg and 25kg respectively.
Founded in 2006, Black Country Food bank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 day emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed.
Richard Newton, CEO at The Tipton said:
‘We’re delighted to support Black Country Food Bank for the second year running. The food bank ensures individuals and families across the Black Country have enough food and provisions during difficult periods and I’d like to thank our customers and staff for their kind donations.’
The Tipton will continue with various charitable endeavours into 2019, providing ongoing support to the Midlands Air Ambulance as well as local charities as part of the Tipton and Coseley Charitable Foundation (TCCF).
